FIVE TIPS ON BUYING WEDDING JEWELRY![]()
Wedding jewelry isn't the most important part of planning your wedding...but
if you don't choose your pieces wisely, it could ruin an otherwise perfect
wedding photo. Jewelry must complement the theme of the wedding, as
well as the dress, body and personality of the bride. Consider five
tips on selecting your bridal jewelry.
1. Go With Pearl Pearl goes with just about anything, and are as timeless as they are trendy at the moment. Pearls are a versatile form of jewelry that can complement a white dress even with favorite gold or silver lining. If you're not of a certain direction, then pearl is a safe choice. 2. Careful With Earrings Earrings complete a look. However, go beyond the point of completion and you risk overdoing it. Earrings must not distract from the bride, but also must be noticed. (Why where something over $100.00 that won't even be seen?) For best results try on many different earrings and see which go best with your neckline and hairstyle. 3. Add Color If all that white bores you, feel free to add color to your wedding jewelry selections. Sapphires, emeralds and stones can add that extra spark to your necklace and earring selections. Colored pearls are also very hot right cow and can have a hue of golden, gray, apricot or even pink. However try and keep the color selections subtle so as not to appear like a bride straight out of Vegas. 4. Go Au Natural That is, in jewelry of course. Even a beach wedding requires some clothing. However, many prefer to simply dispense with all the jewelry-particularly necklaces, bracelets and gloves. You already have the wedding ring so a pair of simple earrings can work just fine and show off your neckline without any distraction. 5. Family Heirlooms If you really can't decide on style then go with a nostalgic choice. Borrowing jewelry from family members can be a wonderful touch to a complete wedding dress. Even if family members don't exactly have an "heirloom" to pass on to you, there's certainly nothing wrong with asking to borrow them for one special day. It lends sentimental value to the affair and even lets family members feel honored as playing a special part in your once in a lifetime wedding. |
