TIPS ON WEARING A WEDDING GOWN![]() The Day Of Measuring Has Begun When you go to get fitted for your dress it's a good idea to bring along a trusted family member or friend. Not only do they lend you moral support, they can also lend a balancing opinion on the dress different from the bridal consultant or sales personnel's recommendation. Your gown will be fitted three times-once after the dress arrives, a second time to correct any mistakes, and again to verify that all is well before the wedding. Your gown should be perfect and should fit comfortably. If it doesn't then mention it the first two fittings so the problem can be corrected as soon as possible. For double protection bring your maid of honor and mother to the fittings so that they will "learn" your wedding dress and be prepared to handle any emergencies that could arise. The Day Of The Wedding A wonderful day and one that can be hectic. Allow yourselves at least two hours before the wedding is scheduled to begin so you can prepare and ready yourself for the moment. More than two hours is recommended to avoid the stress that comes from running late. (Which always seems to happen at weddings anyway) It's best to bring an emergency kit to the bride's headquarters. This kit typically includes sewing supplies, extra hose and to handle those sentimental moments, extra make up and tissues. Bring a pair of flat shoes with you for all the pre-wedding pacing. High heels and frantic running don't make a good combination. Tips On Wedding Gown Comfort Wedding gowns often run small, so you should choose a dress that is a size or two larger than what you normally wear. Another recommendation is to wear a strapless bra, since this will help you get a better feel of how each gown would look during the wedding. True, you don't need to be a genius to wear a wedding gown. But you should dress smart for the occasion-considering how important it really is. |
